Shakeology has been such a wonderful nutrition wellness tool for me and my family. Before my health and fitness journey began I was low on energy, craving sweets constantly, in chronic pain all the time. When I started drinking Shakeology I thought it was too good to be true. I was sure that it was just like every other "protein shake" out there. However, after researching I found that this was not at all like every other protein shake out there. This was a shake that could supply my body with nutrition that it was not getting each day. It is packed with superfoods, vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, pre and pro-biotics and it is completely clean!
I started with Chocolate. And OH MY! It tasted like brownie batter to me! I fell in love with it at first taste and knew that it was going to be a part of my life from that point on. After 3 weeks of drinking Shakeology consistenly I noticed a HUGE energy increase. In fact, my energy increased so much that I no longer needed coffee in the mornings! I felt like I could get up and do so much more through out the day and even in my workouts. I also noticed that my cravings for the foods that I usually craved (ice cream, cookies and cake) were significantly reduced. And with Shakeology, I didn't feel like I was missing out on dessert at all! I could make one of the many delcious recipes and I could drink it like a milkshake or add more ice and eat it like icecream.
When Joey, my husband, started drinking Shakeology he had reached a plateau in his weight loss. He had pretty much been stuck at the same weight for 5-6 months even though he was working out and eating fairly healthy. After 3 weeks of drinking Shakeology consistently, his plateau was broken! He lost 8 pounds and continued to lose after that.
Shakeology has been wonderful for our whole family. I give it to our kids and sneak spinach into it and they don't even know. They just think they are having a yummy milkshake.
The thing I love about it the most is that it is a meal that I do not have to plan for or think about every day. It takes me 90 seconds to whip up one of my favorite recipes and walk out the door. No more stopping at Starbucks or stopping to get fast food or even skipping meals. I have no excuse anymore and it is literally the healthiest meal of my day.
